On 4th November 2008, ESPO celebrated its 15th anniversary at the Théâtre du Vaudeville in Brussels with about 300 guests. They were presented with ‘PORTRAITS’, an exclusive DVD with vintage promotion films and documentaries on European ports from the period 1900-1970. The heritage project was produced in partnership with the Royal Belgian Film Archive and supported by numerous individual ports which made rare film material available from their archives. The ports profiled in this unique production included Rotterdam, Hamburg, Drogheda, Oslo, Antwerp, Marseille and London.
