Drogheda Port is one of Irelands leading East Coast ports handling in excess of 1.3 million tonnes per annum. Drogheda Port Company under the provisions of the Harbours Act 1996, section 56(1)(b) is seeking to licence the following suitably qualified persons for the provision of marine services.

Pilot/Marine Operations

Applicants must as a minimum requirement hold:

1.Valid STCW (Regulation II/2) Certificate of Competency on vessels of 500GT or more and have sailed in the position of Chief Officer or Master. Command experience preferred. Additional qualifications, pilotage, pilotage exemption and port operations experience preferred.

2.Have a legal entitlement to work in Ireland.

3.Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading and writing English.

Relief Pilots

Applicants must as a minimum requirement hold:

1.Valid STCW (Regulation II/2) Certificate of Competency on vessels of 500GT or more and have sailed in the position of Chief Officer or Master. Command experience preferred. Additional qualifications, pilotage, pilotage exemption preferred.

2.Have a legal entitlement to work in Ireland.
