Drogheda Port Company are pleased to announce the return of our Annual Arts Commission. Each year the commission is open to any art form or medium for the creation of an artwork on a maritime or port based theme.

Michelle Dixon of Drogheda Port Company commented that ‘The commission which had previously run for over 10 years is open again in 2016. We are seeking local artists to apply for the commission which allows full expression to the artist in dealing with the theme.’

The maritime collection to date has a number of stunning individual pieces from local artists such as Anne Mullen O’Brien, Joe Lawler, John Maloney, Paul McCann, Lindsey Brady and Paul Mangan. The previous works can be viewed on the port website.

Local artists who are interested in applying for the 2016 Commission can find the relevant details on the port company website www.droghedaport.ie
