Maintenance Dredging Works at Drogheda Port
To all Ships Masters, Pilots, Fishermen, Yachtsmen, Ships Agents and water users on the river Boyne estuary.
Drogheda Port hereby gives notice that maintenance dredging works are scheduled to commence on or about week 7/2021, actual date subject to the weather and dredger e.t.a.
Dredging operations will be concentrated at the river entrance, estuarial channel and berths (ref: British Admiralty Chart 1431).
Dredging operations will be on each tide. Anticipated duration 10/12 days from commencement.
The dredging vessel TSD Sospan Dau will be maintaining a listening watch on VHF channels 11 & 16. The vessel will exhibit the appropriate lights and shapes as prescribed in the International Collision Regulations.
Vessels entering and leaving Drogheda Port during the period of the works should exercise extreme caution when passing the dredger and should reduce their speed to a safe minimum manoeuvering speed.
