Bremore Ireland Port - Notice of site investigation works

                

                             

Drogheda Port Company on behalf of Bremore Ireland Port Ltd hereby gives notice that Hydrographical and Geophysical site investigation work will commence in the area of Bremore Head (ref: British Admiralty Chart 44) on or about Monday 4th May 2009. It is anticipated that the works will be completed by the end of May 2009.

 

The working area is generally defined by the following co-ordinates from point ‘A’ at 53d 39.272’N 06d 12.246W, to point ‘B’ at 53d 39.613N 06d 09.764W, to point ‘C’ at 53d 37.287N 06 11.004W, to  point ‘D’ at 53d 38.188N 06d 08.345N and returning along the line of the high water mark  to point ‘A’.

 

The site investigation works will be carried out daily, daylight hours only. The survey vessel will display the appropriate signals as defined in the International Collision Regulation and will maintain a VHF listening watch on VHF channel 16. A daily message will be issued by the vessel at the commencement and cessation of works.

 

The survey vessel will be streaming a cable and sonar probe and all vessels passing and operating within the area are requested to maintain as wide a berth as possible.

 

The survey work is being undertaken as part of the ongoing development and design of Ireland’s new deepwater port at Bremore.
