Berths at Drogheda Port
The deep-water quay at Tom Roes Point Terminal is 160m in length over 2 berths and has a dredged 210m pocket, with a depth of 5·5m. Vessels up to 130m can swing in the turning area at Tom Roe’s Point.
The Town Quays are situated on the N side of the river W of the Boyne Viaduct. There is a total 321m of working quay over 3 NAABSA berths. All vessels take the ground on soft level mud. Vessels up to 90m in length can swing at the town quays.
These berths have an air draft restriction of 26m HAT.
The LPG terminal can accommodate vessels up to 100m in length.
The Premier Periclase Jetty is 180m in length.
Warehousing And Storage At Drogheda Port
There is a total of 27,000m2 in-port warehousing for a variety of bulk, break bulk cargoes and logistics distribution. All warehouses are customs bonded and bulk warehouses TASCC approved.
There are 5 hectares of open storage available for a range of general break bulk cargoes, outsized and project cargoes. Open storage areas are customs bonded.
The port operates an IED facility for the TFS export of SRF and RDF cargo.
Equipment & Services at Drogheda Port
Primary handling at the port is with a fleet of Sennebogen mobile material handlers, while secondary handling is by a modern fleet of general purpose forklifts, bobcats and Volvo loading shovels.
