Mr Paul Fleming (Chief Executive)
Paul was appointed to the position of Chief Executive of the Drogheda Port Company in 2001 and is ex officio director. He is qualified in Management Accountancy, Marketing and Public Relations. Prior to his appointment as CEO he held the position of Financial and Commercial Manager. Paul previously worked in the private sector for Swedish company Thorsman in the plastic injection moulding industry in their financial division.
He is also a director of Fast Terminals (Ireland) Limited and Bremore Ireland Port Limited.
Ms Claudia Carr
Claudia is currently a Senior Manager in BearingPoint Ireland with responsibility for Supply Chain Management and Operational Excellence with a particular focus on areas of sustainability, operational improvement and change management.
She has over 20 years’ experience of managing and delivering business and technology transformation programmes for clients in Ireland, UK, Scandinavia, Benelux and the US. Her experience spans a wide range of industries in the public and private sectors including manufacturing, pharmaceutical and chemical, security and Government sectors.
Mr Sean Finnegan
Sean has spent his working life on Drogheda docks where he commenced working in 1968. He is the Former Company Secretary of the Drogheda Deep Sea Dockers Association and was a board member of the Drogheda Resource Centre from 1996 to 2004.
He also served previously as the worker Director of Drogheda Port Company from 1997 to 2002. He has been reappointed as a Director of the company in December 2012.
Dr Joseph Hiney
Joe was appointed as a director on March 1st 2013. He has over 30 years’ experience in the port industry with senior management roles in finance, internal audit and research. He is a Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA) and a member of the Institute of Logistics and Transport (CMILT). Joe is currently completing a doctoral research project, funded by the Irish Research Council, specialising in the comparative political economy of maritime transport.
He is an instructor on the UNCTAD port manager training programme in developing countries. This project is funded by Irish Aid as one of their trade capacity building initiatives under the Government’s ‘Aid for Trade’ policy.
Ms Gail McEvoy
Gail is the owner of McEvoy & Associates, a Drogheda based firm of Accountants and Business Advisors. She is also the Managing Director of The Tax Clinic Limited, which has been providing tax advice since 1987 and continues to provide tax related services in Drogheda for both the self employed and PAYE earner.
She is currently the Vice President of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Ireland.
Deirdre is a partner in the firm of Patrick Tallan & Company Solicitors, a Drogheda based legal firm which was established over 100 years ago.
Deirdre has over 20 years experience in all areas of legal work particularly in the areas of local government law, conveyancing, litigation, employment, and family law. She is a member of the Incorporated Law Society of Ireland, Family Lawyers Association of Ireland, Collaborative Lawyers Association. She is also on the Council of Drogehda Chamber of Commerce and on the Board of Dignity 4 Patients.
