Drogheda Port Office Painting by Anne Mullen-O'Brien
In 2009 after over 200 years at its location on the mall the port office moved to a new custom built premises along the river on the mornington road. The original port office was demolished in 1967 and replaced with the current red brick building. This oil painting by Anne Mullen O’Brien (2009) poignantly captures the entrance door of the port office and marks the end of an era, leaving many ghosts and stories behind.
