Drogheda Sailing Training Bursary
Established in 2013, the Drogheda Sail Training Bursary is a program that provides young people from counties Louth and Meath with the opportunity to participate in sail training experiences. The bursary aims to promote personal development, teamwork, and adventure through the medium of sailing, fostering skills and qualities that can benefit participants profoundly in many aspects of their lives.
The bursary program is designed for individuals between the ages of 16 and 30, who may have limited access to sailing opportunities due to financial constraints. The Drogheda Sail Training Bursary offers financial support to cover the costs associated with participating in sail training voyages. By removing financial barriers, the bursary ensures inclusivity, giving young people from varying backgrounds the opportunity to take part in these transformative experiences.
