The Harbours Act 1996 Section 42

Drogheda Port Company wishes to advise members of the public, local businesses, residents and patrons of the Pay & Display Area that in accordance with its bye laws made pursuant to Section 42 of the Harbours Act 1996 and Part 1 of the Sixth Schedule thereto, it  will be closing the following roads to vehicular traffic for the following times to facilitate the National Services Day.

Closure Details
•    Road: Merchants Quay & Smiths Cross, Drogheda
•    Date: Saturday, 5 September 2026
•    Closure time: 06:00 – 18:00
•    Duration: 12 hours

Road users are requested to plan their journeys accordingly, allow additional travel time and follow all temporary traffic management measures and signage in place.
